little miss emma beaner

We took the girls trick or treating last night. Emma was an elephant. Abby was Halloween Minnie. Emma caught on to the whole trick or treat thing pretty quickly. After the second house, she was walking up to the doors with her bag wide open for "canny". She even went as far as walking up to other trick or treaters with her bag wide open...looking for handouts. She made sure to say bye at every house. Super cute!!

Emma went potty on the toilet again tonight! And we've been laying her in her crib at bed time. She's been playing for a few minutes, conking out and sleeping ALL NIGHT! She's turning into such a big girl!

Abby seems to be feeling a little better. Emma, however has gotten worse. Her snot has turned green, she's hacking up a storm and seems to be especially bothered by her right ear. To make matters worse, we had a horid night. She spent half of it crying unconsolably.
I made another appointment, paid another copay and got a prescription. This doctor, was super nice, pretty much said we should have been given a prescription before so we wouldn't have had to come back in and that Emma's ear has definitely progressed into a bacterial ear infection. She said if she's not feeling better by Monday to bring her back and she'd get her a prescription for something else. Hallelujah! Someone feels my pain! Gotta get these girls in good health for the wedding!

I had the girls to the doctor today. Their both sick and have been for over a week and a half. Turns out they both have a double viral ear infection. The doctor tells me this and then has the nerve to say, "But good news, they don't need antibiotics!" I am supposed to watch them and if anything gets worse, bring them back and pay another copay. Total crap.

We were at dinner tonight - took the girls to Friday's and it was a horrible experience, but anyway. Emma wanted out of her high chair. Tony took her out and gave her to me. She wrapped her little arms around my neck and gave me a great big ol hug. A very tight squeeze. She then pulled her head away a little and said, "I ub oo" and then put her little forehead against mine. My baby told me she loved me! (tear) It sounded so cute! She's such a little sweetheart! I ub oo too Emma!

Emma tinkled in the pot again tonight. Definitely not going to push her, but how exciting. She's started telling us when she's poopy and sometimes will say "potties". Hoping it's easy breezy!

This past week or so we have been putting Emma on the toilet before her tubbies. Well, tonight we heard a little tinkle tinkle. She went potty!! She was so proud of herself and kept going back to look at it. YEAH!
